Isaiah 40:31 Dependent on God's presence

There is no thrill for us in walking, yet it is the test for all of our steady and enduring qualities. To 'walk and not faint' is the highest stretch possible as a measure of strength. The word walk is used in the Bibleto express the characther of a person - "..John..looking at Jesus as He walked. . . said, 'Behold the Lamb of God!' " (John 1:35-36). There is nothing abstract or obscure in the Bible; everything is vivid and real. God does not say, "Be spiritual," but He says, "Walk before Me..." (Genesis 17:1)
When we are in an unhealthy condition either physically or emotionally, we always look for thrills in life. In our physical life this leads to our efforts to counterfeit the work of the Holy Spirit; in our emotional life it leads to obsessions and to the destruction of our morality; and in our spiritual life, if we insist on pursuing only thrills, on mounting up "with wings like eagle" (Isaiah 40:31), it will result in the destruction of our spirituality.
Having the reality of God's presence is not dependent on our being in a particular circumstance of place, but is only dependent on our determination to keep the Lord before us continually. Our problems arise when we refuse to place our trust in the reality of His presence. The experience the psalmist speaks of- "We will not fear, eventhough..." (Psalm 46:2)-will be ours once we are grounded on the truth of the reality of God's presence, not just a simple awareness of it, but an understanding of the reality of it. Then we will exclaim, " He has been here all the time!" At critical moments in our lives it is necessary to ask God for guidance, but it should be unnecessary to be constantly saying, "Oh, Lord, direct me in this, and in that." Of course He will, and in fact, He is doing it already! If our everyday decisions are not according to His will, He will press through them, bringing restraint to our spirit. Then we must be quiet and wait for the direction of His presence.

Word of God speak

Another reason we worship a risen Saviour. The devotion passage that i read this morning was taken from Matthew 7:11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

I just noticed the exclaimation mark. I guess Matthew really wanted to stress this point that we as His children have this hope. We can rest assured that nothing happens without Him knowing and we all know that we can have confidence in God because of what it says in Romans 8:28.

Why?

Yes, i cut my hair. HAHA. I really wanted to keep my hair long but mum made me cut it so yeah, hair cut! it's so crappy, everytime the wind blows, i feel so cold 'on top'.
Both of the picture above combined to give you this. LOL.
On a different note, i'm just being very emotional as always. Everytime i take a step and walk, i ask God Why? My desire to play football again seems to be the only thing that gives me hope.
But now it seems to be more distant. I get knee pains ever more so often now.
Why?

Wow!

Just came back into Adelaide aka the land i call my second home and i thought i started sharing a wee bit of what has been going on the past week. I managed to go for one of the sessions during the Hillsong Conference which was in the ACER Arena, next to Telstra Stadium in Sydney and it was aaaaaaaaaammmmmmmmmaaaaaaaaazzzzzzzzzzzzzzziiiinnnnnngggggggggg.
(I cannot stop wondering whether was there any purpose in me going to Sydney on such a short notice, maybe it was for this reason? But even if it wasn't, i feel so blessed to have been given an opportunity to go for it)

To be in a room with 25,000 brothers and sisters in Christ and another thousand outside the stadium. Mind-blowing man!!!!!!! I wanted to take a picture just to show the enormity of it but i forgotten all about it until i left the place. When i got into the stadium, i stood there speechless at least for a good 30sec with my mouth literally opened.

Hebrews 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.

Many times, i have been shared with that particular verse and be encouraged by it but never have i experienced such an eye-opening experience of this magnitude.WOW.

Decisions

I'm known to be one who normally thinks a WHOLE LOT before making any decision. But this just came in, decided to go to Sydney in like 10 minutes. Going down to Sydney for a couple of days. Ah Kong who's in Sydney isn't feeling too well and i want to go see him coz he also came here to see me but now he can't. Lets see whats going to happen. Pray that He will have His way. Another opportunity for the Gospel to be shared?I just pray and hope that i am moving in accordance to His will. Ultimately, we are only mere 'instruments' to be used by the Creator.

Just some pics. . .

Just some pictures to keep you entertain.

On that lonely bus ride to the airport to pick mum up.

The aeroplane that she came in with.
We searhed high and low for the 'faculty' sign board to get a pic. Little did i know that it was just on the 4th or 5th floor of the Playford building.

Mum prepared dinner for the jokers with me 'helping'.

We being the jokers we are, went to the beach in winter and froze ourselves up.LOL

We being the typical jokers again, stole lemons from Someone's lemon tree..haha (she wasn't in)
We saw the loveliest rainbow.

and then promoted child labor. Haha.
I am thankful.
